A life less ordinary

More than 15,000 people have made their home afloat in the UK – and now you can do so too here in the idyllic setting of Beaucette, Guernsey’s most picturesque and only privately owned and operated marina.

This growing trend is driven by the outstanding lifestyle benefits of living on your own hand-built home. A slower pace of life afloat, bespoke luxury that’s hard to afford on shore combined with the sheer delight of living on water make this an unbeatable lifestyle choice.

Tempted? You’re not alone. Beaucette is home to a community of other like-minded individuals who have also experienced the unique appeal of life aboard plus the benefits of handily placed on-shore facilities, a dedicated marina staff and office and an award-winning bistro-bar waiting to welcome you.

Outstanding choice

Beaucette knows boats – and all about living in them. That’s why we’ve selected a superb range of wide-beam barges from one of the UK’s top barge builders for you to buy or rent as you choose to make your new life afloat.

Built in the UK by true craftsman, these outstanding homes are the last word in luxury, attention to detail and space saving facilities. Light and airy in summer but warm and cosy in winter, these oak-fitted, centrally heated homes really are the ultimate in luxury and convenience.

And as you can see from the images, the specification speaks for itself…

Luxury living

Designed to look, feel and function like a luxury apartment, the barges selected by Beaucette make the change from land to water effortless and a completely natural choice.

Experience shows that life aboard tends to appeal to three main groups:

  • Young couples looking to escape the rental market but who have been unable to afford a property

  • Middle aged couples wanting to release some equity and/or live mortgage-free

  • People looking to downsize

In every case, however, it’s essentially a lifestyle decision because nothing can compare to life on the water, the quality of these outstanding homes or the companionship of a like-minded community around you.
