Well, it might not feel like it from the weather, but Spring is definitely on the way and we’re busily gearing up here at Beaucette Marina for a new season – and especially looking forward to greeting friends old and new.
And we’ve some special help this year – Leo, a beautiful cat who’s appointed himself dock master in chief to oversee operations. In between naps in the sun obviously!
Officially, the one-year-old Maine Coon belongs to Monika and Michael, who run our fabulous and popular restaurant. Now called Saltwater and with a brand-new look and menu, it offers the freshest of Guernsey produce and seafood. They’re looking forward to welcoming you too, whether that’s for dinner or a leisurely drink or coffee on Saltwater’s stunning waterside terrace.
Look closely at the picture of Leo and you’ll see he’s in front of a handsome barge, one of several now permanently based at the marina as people are increasingly realising the appeal of life afloat.
More are due later this year and we’re delighted that the Beaucette community is growing and the endless appeal of being by the water is – rightly – reaching a new audience.
If you are planning a visit here in 2020 you’ll notice quite a few changes and improvements as we’ve invested extensively in our buildings and facilities to make the famous Beaucette welcome even better and to make your stay even more memorable, whether that’s by boat or camper van.
We’re also revamping our online presence so everything you need – marina, campers, barges or restaurant – can be accessed from one page so do please follow us on Twitter and Facebook so we can update you on all Beaucette’s news as it happens throughout 2020.
Meanwhile, Leo (and us of course!) wishes you safe travels and looks forward to seeing you here soon.
